Summary: This is a lesson plan created by University of Oregon students. It is slotted for 63 minutes to ensure a basic understanding of the Front Street Crew for high school students. Our main learning objectives are to describe the contributions of Mexicanos to the railroad system in Lane County, analyze the challenges and discrimination faced by Mexicanos, utilize primary sources (Ancestry data) to extract and interpret historical information, and summarize their findings and reflections in written form.
