This is a Lesson plan designed for High School students. It takes roughly 60 minutes to complete and covers what marriage and divorce were like for people who migrated from Mexico to the United States in the 1940s. The lesson plan focuses on why individuals got married, interracial marriages, and why divorce was frowned upon within the community.
